Founded by Joel Kennedy, a violist and violin instructor, Kennedy Violins has been serving musicians since the year 2000. Joel saw the need for his students to have access to quality, affordable instruments. Many of the instruments marketed to beginners were of poor quality and hindered the learning process. So, Joel partnered with luthiers to provide a product he was proud to offer to students.

Since then the violin shop has grown to offer stringed instruments for students up to professional-level players. Music lessons are available with highly-qualified instructors, at Vancouver, WA location and online. Kennedy Violins is also a trusted provider of rental instruments to individuals, music education programs, and school districts.

Our luthier shop is staffed by knowledgeable craftspeople. They do the professional setup of all our instruments as well as customizations and top-quality repair.
